The unlikely allies actually come together on both sides, and the web expands to include the Justice Department, CIA and IRS, among other governmental agencies in the chase. The drama spirals through backstabbing, political games, and a monumental race against time up until its shocking resolution. Is the United States marching lockstep down a road to civil war.
What initially develops as a hunt for an arms dealer quickly evolves into a race to unearth a plot involving cutting-edge technologies and phantom corporations that can trade on the worlds stock exchanges, and the horrific events in Portland, Oregon. In addition, there main objective is to topple the taxing and financial infrastructure of the United States if not the world.
Duman tackles multiple controversial topics head-on. He gives a good account of all the characters’ showing that pure and evil intentions are found in equal parts on both sides of the equation. He delves into questionable actions that are driven by both patriotism and greed, effortlessly illustrating the multifaceted nature of human minds and personalities. The readers are treated to an an intriguing plot with well-researched and thoughtful content. Thriller fans will find much to enjoy in this book.
